Welcome to Becky Ung Therapy. This website is operated by Becky Ung( "I", "me", "my"). By browsing or using this Site, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use my Site.

 

1. Professional Disclaimer

  • Informational Purpose Only: The content on this Site, including blogs, articles, and resources, is for general informational purposes only.

  • No Therapist-Client Relationship: Browsing this Site or contacting me via a web form does not establish a therapeutic or contractual relationship. A formal therapist-client relationship only begins once we have both signed a separate, written Therapy Contract.

  • Not Medical Advice: The information provided here is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

 

2. Emergency and Crisis Policy

  • No Emergency Support: This Site and my contact forms are not monitored 24/7 and are not emergency services.

  • Crisis Assistance: If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, severe distress, or thoughts of self-harm, you must not rely on this Site. Please immediately dial 999 or 111 (within the UK), attend your local A&E, or contact the Samaritans by calling 116 123.

 

3. Online Therapy Services (UK Jurisdiction)

  • Jurisdiction: My practice is based in the United Kingdom. These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  • Eligibility: Online therapy is only available to individuals located in geographic regions where I am legally and professionally permitted to practice.

 

4. Bookings, Fees, and 24-Hour Cancellation Policy

  • Fees: Session fees are clearly displayed on my home page and will be confirmed prior to your first session.

  • The 24-Hour Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice via email.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, will be charged at the full session rate.

  • Consumer Contracts Regulations: By booking an appointment that takes place within 14 days of your initial booking, you explicitly request that my services begin within the statutory cancellation "cooling-off" period. Therefore, you acknowledge that your right to cancel for free is waived once inside the 24-hour appointment window.

  • Contract Override: All clients will receive a comprehensive, formal Therapy Contract upon booking confirmation. In the event of any conflict, the signed Therapy Contract will take legal precedence over these website terms.

 

5. Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: All content on this Site—including text, graphics, logos, images, and downloadable resources—is my intellectual property unless stated otherwise.

  • Permitted Use: You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, reproduce, or republish any content without my express written consent.

 

6. Limitation of Liability

  • No Guarantees: While I strive to ensure the information on this Site is accurate, I make no guarantees regarding its completeness or suitability.

  • Website Availability: I am not liable if the Site is temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond my control.
